A US family found themselves in a stinky situation when skunks moved into their home.
The skunks chewed their way under the house in Ohio and started mating. Four skunks took to marking their territory on exposed heating pipes under the house, much to the dismay of the McCullough family.
Father Kerry McCullough says the smell was so bad it hurt his lungs. Kerry's wife, Karen said: "It would be 30 degrees, and I'd have the windows open. I'd go to the grocery store and people would say, 'It smells like skunk.' "
The McCulloughs had to replace doors and walls and take their kitchen apart, costing around £37,000. Fortunately home insurance covered most of the costs.
