is it normal for wives to want to leave their weddings early
and to almost sneak away when no one is looking
we did this- and i was never sure about it
wanted to say cheerio to e'one-
we just sped off to our hotel very early when the party was raging

I'm not sure about normal but I would think it would be proper and considerate to say goodbye to everyone that took the time to come to your celebration. Did they not have bird seed or rice ready to toss on the bride and groom? Did you my throw your bouquet?

If anything, I would say this is abnormal.
