New band Winch House are on the cusp of something big as they prepare to release their debut single Sweet Taste of Summer in August.

Hailing from Haverfordwest in Wales the band are already on the road playing in clubs and venues all over the UK.

I caught up with band to talk about the debut single, what we can expect from the album and what the future has in store for them.

Hi guys you are a new band on the music scene. So who are Winch House?

Winch House are everybody's favourite new band!

How did you all meet and how did the band come together?

We all met in college. Such a boring story I know! Just as boring as how every other band met though I'm sure. We all met and we all loved metal music so we decided to start a pop-punk band! LOL

Haverfordwest is perhaps not the most obvious place to find a band. How did you go about being discovered for want of a better word?

You're right Haverfordwest is not at all the most obvious place that you would expect to find a band. All other bands that are well known from Wales are from the South (Cardiff and Newport). Haverfordwest is as far west as a car will let you travel! Recording at Screamadelica Studios in Cardiff Bay [Altsounds owns the studio] triggered everything for us. Thank god.

And why Altsounds?

Altsounds mainly because of the guys that run it! They want to help us and they're probably the coolest guys you'll ever meet.
