The View's 'Hitler' singer

1 month ago 04th Jul 13:15

The View frontman Kyle Falconer says he is like Adolf Hitler in the recording studio.

The Dundee rocker and his bandmates recently teamed up with Paolo Nutini for a duet on their forthcoming new album, and Kyle admits he acted like the Nazi dictator to get the best out of Paolo.

He said: "We kidnapped Paolo and made him sing. I've never seen someone look so scared. I was shouting at him, telling him what to do. Call me Adolf Falconer!"

The 'Same Jeans' hitmakers came across the Scottish singer/songwriter after a chance meeting at the Rockfield recording studios and persuaded him to sing vocals on the as yet unnamed track.

The View's next LP is due for release later this year, and guitarist Pete Reilly has promised a new direction.

He revealed: "The album has some keys and strings on it.

"But not like The Last Shadow Puppets' strings. It's darker and it has more balls than our debut."
